Subic Adventure

Subic bay is well known as a great summer, local tourist destination for its calm waters, cool breezes and wide range of activities and accommodations wherein you can unwind and enjoy the beauty of nature. It is part of Central Luzon, specifically in the province of Zambales. It is a 3-hour drive from Manila, taking the North Luzon Expressway; and it is about 30 minutes away from Clark, where the US Air Base is located.

After our family outing in Brgy. Pundaquit, me and Dennis decided to explore more the beauty of Zambales and the rest of the family would go back home safely. We just had few days left before Dennis would go back to the Netherlands and we wanted to treasure these moments only two of us. So we stayed for two nights in one of the resorts in Barrio Barreto where  the Baloy Beach is located which was popular due to its affordable and friendly accommodation. We found out that it's very famous place for European/American  tourist who was travelling alone and want more to have fun, entertainment and night life. But it’s fairly quiet there and still you got a lot of fun things to do like sailing, diving, driving a jetski, taking a boat to one of the beautiful islands outside, or just relaxing at one of the floating bars. We enjoyed more just to sit in the beach front restaurant while watching the sun set and drinking strawberry shake. It was so relaxing on that moment.

Subic bay area is also popular for its educational theme parks and exiting, extreme adventure parks such as the Ocean Adventure, Zoobic Safari, JEST Camp, Jungle Joe's World, Treetop Adventure and Extreme Adventure Teambuilding Military Style Park. We didn't have enough time to visit all these parks but at least, we had one park that we experienced to see a variety of cetaceans and sea lions and that was the Ocean Adventure.

Ocean Adventure  is the first and most astounding nautical sanctuary in our country that showcases some of the world's most amazing sea mammals like dolphins, false killer whales and sea lions in their inherent habitat. You can also swim and dive with the dolphins or take pictures with them. Unfortunately, we didn't have experience it 'coz we didn't bring our swimming clothes. But still we enjoyed the different shows presented by the dolphins, sea lions and some animals in the park.
